Mandela Day: Sponsor a 3rd Wave Family-Pack

Your generous Family-Pack donations will go towards:
The children and families living in Vredendal, a community in the West Coast of Cape Town who are part of the James House Child & Youth Care Community.

The 18th of July is no ordinary day
Double celebrations as it’s Mandela Day + my birthday
The only glitch is Cyril’s curfew and 3rd Wave
Gotta avoid Delta, stay safe and behave
But nothing stops the birthday/Madiba fundraising plans from continuing
Right now it’s even more important to reach out to those struggling
This year I’ve chosen the Vredendal kids and their families
Who are part of the James House Child & Youth Care community
Their situation is so dire, with barely a roof over their heads
Cold, hungry and disheartened is not the way anyone should go to bed
So with your help, I’d love to gift 100 Family-Packs:
Groceries, hygiene goods, winter warmers & books
This is an opportunity for us all to be The Genie
And make someone else’s wish a reality
If you’d like to contribute, it costs R450 to sponsor one of these
A Madiba surprise that will light up their lives, guaranteed;)
– Love Rucita

Mandela Day and Covid-19 Family-Packs

Your generous Family-Pack donations will go towards:
The children and families from James House Child & Youth Care Centre (Imizamo Yethu & Hangberg Community of Hout Bay)

My birthday wish would be for Covid to pack up and disappear
For us all to get a 2020 refund for this crazy year!
But there is undoubtedly a bigger picture to see
A silver lining opportunity
To give a little lockdown love to those in need
Our communities are filled with hungry hearts to feed
So if you’re with me, get onto my quaran-team
Help me with my birthday/Mandela Day fundraiser dream
To sponsor 100 kids from the James House community
Who over the past 6 years have inspired me
They’ll each receive an essential Madiba/Covid Family-Pack:
Groceries + hygiene items + winter warmer items
– plus educational material to keep the kids on track
It costs R450 to sponsor 1 child and their family
Quick math: that’s R45 000 we need to raise collectively!
So any contributions will be appreciated wholeheartedly
Please donate, share, tweet and get your crew onboard
What goes around comes around, so the real math means:
Giving back is the ultimate reward!
