Winter Packs & Back to School Packs

This is an registered IAHV Project. The Johannesburg Children’s Hope Centre is the oldest children’s home based in Johannesburg, with 64 children who have been found in need of care by the Children’s Court. The children range in age from three to twenty-one years old and are admitted because they have lost parental care due to physical, sexual or emotional abuse, severe neglect or abandonment.

With the support from IAHV assisting with the funds we have managed to secure to purchase school stationery and books for the children. On the 13th of December we personally delivered the stationery to the home and on the 16th of January, the children received brand new stationery for the year. In the next few weeks, we will be arranging to host a yoga and meditation session with the children.

James House Xmas Hampers 2023

Our hope was that these food packs would ensure these families had food on the table for a special Christmas meal, as well as food during the school holidays while James House was closed.

The success of this initiative was only possible with IAHV’s generous donation, which enabled us to purchase 100 x Yebo Fresh packs for this community.  The food packs were well-received with much appreciation and the James House staff and families have expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the continuous support of IAHV and all volunteers involved.
