Last Saturday, five organizations collaborated and delivered various essential items to 200 families and 150 children in a rural community, in Ixopo. Ixopo is a town situated on a tributary of the Mkhomazi River in the midlands of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
This included T-shirts for children, face painting, games, groceries and much more. It was a well-planned event with representation from the local Chief, Teachers and the community.
Thirty five volunteers met from 5.30am to pack the items and left to Ixopo with a convoy of 12 vehicles.
The organizations were:
- United Ways
- The SAI group
- International Association for Human Values (IAHV)
- Nelson Mandela Youth Centre
- Revolution Motor Club
Thank you to all our volunteers who attended and assisted.
