Health & Hygiene Program
Spreading menstrual Education is registered under IAHV, India as a service project. The vision of the project is to empower girls and women with knowledge and awareness on menstrual health and hygiene throughout rural South Africa. Specifically, in areas where sanitary products are unfordable and menstruation-related stigma exists, thereby restricting adolescent’s girls and women in day-today activities (attending school and work).
More volunteers within Africa need to be trained to become menstrual health and hygiene champions, which can be done through online training from trainers in India.
The next step is to develop a pilot entrepreneurship model for rural women to provide access to socially impactful products and services like sake menstrual care and wellness products by leveraging the pain-Africa network of inspired community trainers by the Health & Hygiene Workshop.
